Moving a Conveyor System from a Gold Mine

In the industry of heavy transportation, each project comes with its own challenges. Transporting a conveyor system from a gold mine presented unique challenges, requiring meticulous planning and adherence to safety protocols. Here’s how we tackled this complex task:

The journey began in Crescent Valley, NV, with the final destination set for Antioch, IL, spanning a 30-day period. We employed a fleet of 52 trucks to handle the transportation, with an average of 12 trucks utilized per week. Scheduling was crucial, with Mondays and Wednesdays being the primary transport days.

To mitigate the risks associated with mining equipment transportation, strict safety requirements were imposed on hired drivers. This included wearing protective gear such as helmets, steel-toed boots, safety glasses, and gloves. Additionally, drivers had to be identified at pickup locations to ensure compliance. An additional safety check was implemented during pickup to verify the validity of each document. This meticulous process helped prevent delays caused by missing or inaccurate paperwork, potentially extending the delivery period by up to 30 days.

When it comes to heavy equipment transportation, preparation is indispensable for the success or failure of a project. It requires specialized equipment, experienced drivers, and a thorough understanding of safety regulations. We are a good example of a well prepared company.

This successful transportation operation emphasizes the importance of careful planning, adherence to safety protocols, and effective execution when faced with challenging logistics scenarios. Thanks to the knowledge and professionalism of our team members, Candi and Joselino, our client ended up satisfied with our services. Contact us if you need help transporting your heavy equipment.
