Transporting a Combine John Deere 9600

We want to share with you our odyssey of transporting a 14-foot-wide Combine John Deere 9600. Little did we know, this adventure would be filled with twists and turns, testing our resolve and problem-solving skills.

To transport this machinery, coupon outriggers are used, although preferably, the tires are removed to further reduce the width and height. Originally, with the tires on, the combine was exactly 14 feet wide. However, due to a tire service error, the appropriate equipment to remove them was not brought.

This necessitated coordinating another tire service to remove them and reduce the width to 11 feet, as time and distance prevented the original service from returning with the correct equipment.

The machine’s location was on a remote farm, complicating finding someone available at that time. Despite the odds, we persevered. It took time and effort, but we refused to throw in the towel. Our determination led us to the right tire service, enabling us to overcome the obstacle and proceed with the transportation process. The total loading and tire removal time was 7 hours, mainly due to the time it took to hire the new tire service.

Through teamwork and tenacity, we successfully delivered the machinery, fulfilling our commitment to the customer.
