Auction Surprises, STT Solutions
At STT Logistics Group, auctions don’t scare us one iota. In fact, we embrace the unexpected. Broker Josh Sanchez recently proved that again during a machinery transportation job that could’ve gone sideways—if not for patience, experience, and the right team.

The Job (and the Spanner in the Works)
Move a John Deere 844K wheel loader—weighing over 70,000 lbs—from Yoder & Frey Auctioneers in Kissimmee, Florida to a customer site in Las Vegas.
It sounds pretty straightforward, but there’s a catch:
When Josh’s driver arrived to pick the wheel loader up, it wasn’t running.

Delays That Didn’t Derail the Job
“Auction equipment is unpredictable,” Josh explained. “You never know the condition until you get there. But that’s not a problem for us.”
Instead of walking away or rushing the process, Josh’s driver stayed on site for two full days, working alongside auction mechanics until the loader was up and running again. Most companies would’ve charged for the delay—but STT didn’t.
“We tried to be the most cost-effective option for this scenario,” Josh said. “We knew the customer had already taken a risk at auction. We weren’t going to add to the stress.”
Once repaired, the loader was safely loaded and began its end-to-end logistics journey to Nevada.
Five days later, it was delivered without issue.
From Haul to Handshake
The delivery was a success—but this job was more than just a drop-off.
Josh had been working with this client remotely for over two years. After the move was complete, they finally had the opportunity to meet in person. For Josh, it was a chance to put a face to the name. And for the client? A moment to shake the hand of someone who had earned their trust.
Why It Worked
At STT Logistics, we know full well that heavy machinery transportation takes more than just horsepower—it takes a commitment to customer service. From auction pickup through delivery, Josh and his team managed every detail, handling unexpected delays and budget constraints with professionalism and care.
And most importantly? The client was completely happy.
“They told me if they’d gone with a different company, the driver probably wouldn’t have waited—and definitely would’ve charged them,” Josh said. “That’s not how we do things at STT.”
At STT, we show up when it matters—no matter the condition of the load.
You call. We haul. That’s all.
