Today we take you behind the scenes of our successful delivery of a Caterpillar D10R Dozer. Our agents Jorge and Saul, along with dispatcher Katherine, demonstrated their commitment to making it happen, even though there were some unexpected challenges in the way.
Our client’s need was clear: they required this beast of a dozer transported safely to its destination. But with heavy equipment, nothing is ever straightforward. We devised a plan: split the load into two parts, with the main body hitching a ride on an RGN trailer, while the ROPS, arms, and blade followed close behind in a Conestoga trailer.
But not everything can always be perfect, the main body and blade ended up being heavier than expected. As a result, the first drivers could no longer take the equipment and we had to look for others, making sure they could carry the equipment with care. We found a carrier capable of shouldering the extra weight and everything was fine.
